# How Do I Find Profitable Crypto Wallets?

A wallet should not be considered profitable simply because it made one successful trade.

A better approach is to evaluate its performance over time.

[**Ave.ai’s Smart Money Leaderboard**](https://pro.ave.ai/copy-trade) analyzes on-chain addresses using metrics such as:

* Profit and loss
* Win rate
* Trading volume
* Number of transactions
* Trading frequency
* Current holdings
* Realized and unrealized returns

The leaderboard is sorted by wallet performance, including 30-day PnL, helping traders move beyond isolated screenshots and identify addresses with more consistent results.

#### What to look for

Start by looking for wallets that demonstrate:

**Consistent profitability:** A wallet with several profitable trades is generally more informative than one that became profitable from a single lucky position.

**A credible sample size:** High returns from two trades tell you very little. Review the address’s transaction count and trading history.

**Controlled losses:** Study losing trades as carefully as winners. Profitable traders are not always right, but they often manage downside effectively.

**Relevant behavior:** A successful long-term ETH wallet may not offer useful signals for someone trading newly launched Solana meme coins. Follow addresses whose strategies match your market, holding period, and risk tolerance.

**Realized returns:** Unrealized gains can disappear quickly in low-liquidity markets. Determine whether the wallet has actually sold positions profitably.

The objective is not to find a “perfect” wallet. It is to build a focused watchlist of addresses with repeatable behavior that fits your own trading style.
